I use LBL for the 2x2 and average about 7 seconds at the moment but am not sure whether to learn Ortega or not(Though I still have to learn some 3x3 PLLs first).
I was wondering which is of most benefit in speed times wises ?? If anyone could give some advice that would be great=)

Oretga consists of 12 or so very short and fast algorithms. Sub-5 average is easily attainable with Ortega. After you learn your algs, this awesome vid by Thewestonian should be very beneficial.

ortega is very easy to learn and it's basically the ideal method of speedsolving a 2x2 besides CLL (unless you're going into sub-3).
