Is it possible to get a 5 second solve with BLD method?

Since times can already get close to sub-10 counting the inspection time, I think the execution time might be able to break the 5 second barrier and potentially get to near WR times. Tommy Cherry‘s 10 second BLD solve‘s execution time is already very close to 5 seconds.
-I do not know how to do BLD

I believe that the average number of moves for 3 style exec is slightly more than cfop. This means that higher tps is needed (we’re talking like 14). So for a single possibly but not for an average
I have seen a few numbers thrown around for average 3style movecount (which can vary a lot depending on what algs are used) but average usually hovers around 100 moves. With full floating i believe a little less than an alg per solve is saved so it’s probably closer to 90.

The current official 3BLD exec ao5 in sighted 3x3 is 9.5 by Elliott.

Tommy has 7 seconds execution in his 12.78 WR solve.

I think 5 seconds solve time is possible with 5algsolve or UF5 with full floating 3-style.

It is just a matter of time and good algs.

Revisiting this topic, after 2 years

Yiheng currently has 4.09s 3x3 average which is not surpass-able by a blindsolving method which takes 60-100 moves on an average.
But UF5 and a lot of luck can make 5s solves happen using blind method.
