So, after practicing for 2 days I can get a 20 second average on the pyraminx and I was wondering if it's good for a new cuber.

When I first started pyra I was averaging about 20sec too. For me, that is a GREAT start. And I wasn't really a "new cuber" either. So, yes, for me that is a good start for you. Keep up the good work! :)

BTW: Pyraminx is my favorite WCA event :p
