SS Competition Results
I want to get as good at these events as I reasonably can.

Here are my current PB singles and goals in every event.

EventPBGoal
2x21.36Sub-4 global, CLL
3x39.85Sub-12 global, cross+1 in inspection, advanced F2L
4x435.66Sub-45?
5x51:23.20Sub-1:30 global
6x62:35.57GET FASTER
7x74:19.44DON'T GET BORED
OH14.67Sub-20 global, better cross solutions
Clock6.34BE BETTER
Square-118.63Sub-25? More EPs, CS algs

Wow! For me these results are very Amazing! 😎

I train only 3x3 18 about but for big cubes my times no good but for me good but I interested only 3x3.

diagonal swap plls - n perms, y perms, v perms, and (arguably) e perms
I would avoid learning OLLCP to get cases like that. All of those (except the Y perm) are very mid and you could be bailing yourself out of a better PLL by doing OLLCP. Just use OLL and PLL instead.
Does "optimising your F2L" include planning first pair? And also, do you think some OLLCPs could be useful at a higher level?
optimizing your F2L means:
not rotating in the middle of solutions
making sure most of your F2L cases are 8 moves or less
using the right fingertricks for cases
making sure you really know your F2L cases
looking away from the pair you’re doing and looking for your next pair (lookahead)
as well as some other concepts like key-hole, pseudo-slotting, and maybe xcrosses to some extent (it’s more of a cross->transition concept)

Planning first pair is usually more like optimizing your Cross->F2L transition.

Also I don’t even know what OLLCP is and I average 6.8, and other top cubers don’t seem to actively use it in their solves (usually accidentally), so no, I don’t think OLLCP is worth it.

Yea what C. Valenzuela said, but also learn to solve F2l at the back and if necessary then rotate solved front pair(s) preferably to the back.
i feel like he should know this if he’s sub-15
as i’ve mentioned in my sub-15 guide
but if he hasn’t then yeah he should go do that (his global is 13 right?)

Thank you! I probably won't learn OLLCP then - I may not have been very clear though, what I meant is that, is it worth learning OLLCPs for cases where the alg you would normally use would give you one of those bad PLLs, and instead getting your corners permuted to avoid ever getting a diag swap?
