For pyra I would recommend the YLM Magnetic, it's great after setup and also pretty cheap.

I might also recommend doing the washer mod on the tips if you do get it. (makes the tips much faster)

If you have the budget, get a AoSu WRM 4x4; I’ve heard it’s pretty good, but I’ve never personally tried it. If you’re on a tighter budget, then the MGC 4x4 is another really good option. I can’t give any recommendations for pyraminx because I don’t really do the event much.

Is it the one you have? If so have you ever actually set it up? I don't own this pyra so I don't really know about it but sometimes setting up a cube can make it way better like the YLM pyra.

I haven’t set it up (I have tensioned it tho) but the corner cutting is nonexistent and the magnets are way too strong

yes, corner cutting is not there, and if you loosen it, it pops. also, the quality control on mine was horrible. some of the magnets weren't glued in and I've lost one or two. I like the magnets tho.

YJ MGC is the most popular, most recommended, and best price per performance, 4x4 (and 5x5-7x7).
The MoYu WRM 4x4 (and 5x5-7x7) are a bit better, but they cost twice as much but aren't twice the performance.

I think the MoYu Weilong standard pyraminx is currently the most popular. Not the maglev version, it's too uncontrollably fast.
