My average is around 2 mins I’m 12 years old and trying to learn the roux method.
I wish, I’m no where near good enough I’m still stuck on the beginners method lol I’m going to learn roux when I get my first speed cube on the 18thWelcome to the forums! do you do any other events?
Beginners method and my average is around 2 mins. I’m learning roux method thoughWelcome to the forums!what do you average?, what method do you use?
Yeah, it’s good with corner cutting and I’m super exitedThe YLM is pretty good from what I hear I don’t have one though
Well at first I wanted to learn beginners cfop but then when more advanced cubers talked to me all of them recommended rouxJust curious, why Roux?
Oh really? I’m pretty new to all of this so I have no idea what I’m doing here so I’m going off of what others sayMost people consider me advanced and I would not recommend Roux if you want to do other events, It's about equal to CFOP for 3x3 but there aren't really any methods that work with Roux that have proven themselves to be equal for 4x4 and higher.
Jeez TEN seconds?!?! That’s so fast dude!! That’s amazing. I tried learning cfop and it was super complicated but it’s probably just the tutorials I watched... I haven’t watched any tutorials for roux so I have no idea. I don’t know any speed cubers irl so I can’t have anyone teach me in person. After I learned beginners method and I learned CFOP and got sub 20 seconds with it I switched to Roux, but my favorite event at the time was 4x4 and when I learned that you can't use Yau (the best 4x4 method) if you used Roux I switched back to CFOP and now am sub 10 seconds with it.
But again, you should try both out and choose whichever is more fun to you.
I just want to learn how to solve the 3x3x3 in at least under 30 secondsI'll echo this: Roux is roughly equal to CFOP for 3x3 and probably better for one-handed, but if you're interested in big cubes and megaminx, CFOP works better with those.
I watched it, I watch j perm a lot. That is what made me want to do cfop but then his f2l tutorial is super complicatedI would recommend J Perm's video about the big three methods and their advantages and disadvantages:
