I got 7 one time, it wasn´t easy at all (for a person who never tried FMC before). Double turns are much harder to find than single turns for me.

Edit: I got perfect 1-7, then solved 8 using 9 moves :-(

Glad you liked it :). Feel free to share your cases (or e.g. the highest one achieved) with us. If you don´t know how, there is this post.

Oh, and my 8-mover was 1 move, then 7-move pure domino reduction too. Too bad I made that first move wrong, resulting in 9 moves instead of 8.

Made it to 7. I think that the most impressive part of this is that at like 4, non-cubers would see that puzzle as scrambled. It's actually rather easy to figure out if you know what you're looking for.

Don't sell yourself short folks, even if you're not breaking records, you're still doing something that so many people have convinced themselves that they can't. Take pride in that accomplishment.

World class FMC solvers (@Cale S, @guysensei1, @ottozing, @porkynator, Firstian Fushada / others), do you want to participate in this challenge too?
Only just saw this :P

I don't know if I can personally be bothered, but I do think any world class DR/HTR solver would be good at this on scrambles that aren't super quarter turn heavy since they're likely to follow some mini DR structure
