Hello everyone!
I am a 39 years old guy from Santiago, Chile. I bought a cube a couple months ago so I could do something in the commute to work (by subway) besides using my phone.
I have zero cubing background so I have learnt everything recently just by googling, some great resources are available online, such as this forum, Reddit, Kian's webpage, and nice youtube tutorials. After learning beginner's method (actually 8355), I looked for which speed method to use next, and I decided to learn Roux because I had no faith in learning too many algorithms, and I am happy with my choice. I recently learnt 2 look CMLL, which wasn't as difficult as I expected so MAYBE I could learn full CMLL, with some time.
Short term, I need to practice my turning speed a lot (I am very slow), and of course block building (not too bad for a beginner, but I know it is the most important step in Roux). I am constantly looking for new resources, I enjoy studying more than actual practicing, and I hope to attend a competition in a couple of months, for the experience. Also, I have no plans in learning other cubes/puzzles in the short term, but who knows what to expect for the future.
Cheers everyone.
