Hello!
My name is Noah, but you may already know me as N. I’ve been cubing for around 5-6 years now, and consider myself more of a collector than a speedcuber. I’ve been studying methods and cubes for around 3 years consistently throughout my time affiliated with SpeedCubeShop. I have recently been employed at sCs; you can find me in the comments of most sCs social media accounts. If you have any questions about cubes, speedcubeshop, or if you’re looking for advice, feel free to DM me, I’m happy to help! :)

I will definitely not be confusing you with @camcuber lol.

I've got a GAN 14, what's the best cube and what ones are still to be released. GAN 15? My one is faster than my hands can go.

BTW U R A speedcuber - we had that argument recently. I started it. 🙂

Nice! The Gan 14 is a pretty good cube from what I've heard- I haven't used it though. As for the "best" cube, there is no definite answer I can give you unfortunately. Cubes are all preference based, this is why people have different mains; everyone has a unique turning style and (so far) no single cube can work perfectly for everyone. I'm completely unaware of the upcoming releases unfortunately.

Haha thank you, whatever you say. I'm only barely sub 20 personally. I have dedicated the last several years learning ways to improve for the soul purpose of helping others- I don't really feel super motivated to dedicate the proper amount of time into improving for myself, but I enjoy helping others whenever possible.

Where did this argument take place? I'm new to this forum, where do you recommend to familiarize myself with?

I'm probably not the best person to talk about the forum as I only joined about one month ago. I wanted to get some algs for my system - now my system is perfect (for me). Cubing is so crazy that 20 seconds is slow! 😢 40 years ago that would probably be world record time. I'm 54 and I want under 1 minute consistently on 3x3.

I do 80 ish twists per solve average so I want to concentrate on improving my twisting speed and reducing the time when I'm looking at but not twisting the cube during the solve.

A couple of weeks ago I asked on the forum 'what makes someone a speedcuber' the answer seems to be:

1 someone who can do the 3x3 cube
and
2 tries to get faster times.

I used to have a cube on a necklace about 40 years ago, the cube was about the size of a dice but twisted like a normal 3x3. I'll see if I can find them for sale somewhere.

Awesome! Welcome to the cubing community 🙂. You’ll be sub 1min in no time! I recommend learning intuitive F2L; this should be able to get you well beyond your goal.

That cube necklace sounds awesome! We sell something fairly similar, i’ll link it below :)

I googled Rubik's cube necklaces, all sorts for sale. I see on the link a 1x1 speed cube is this a joke? Or am I missing something.

I got a 3x3x1 with a Rubik's speed cube and the 3x3x1 seems a waste of time. How does Rubik's cube speed compare to GAN 14 and Roxenda? I'm only using GAN at moment.

I've been cubing since 1981 and tweaking my system I'm afraid F2L is F2Late for me. I just need to twist faster and cut no twist time. 3.12 seconds tomorrow. 🥳

(Tomorrow never comes.)

Gotcha. The 1x1 speed cube is generally a joke, but it has proved itself useful as a dice used by those training to be color neutral.

😆 Good I wasn't going mad reading reviews like 'the 1x1 cube is fantastic' or 'I solved it after trying for a few days'.

If there's a 14x14 there might as well be a 1x1 cube. Dice, monopoly token, chess pieces yellow side = white blue side = black. 4 rooks/castles etc.

I'm in England ... so I use Kewbz UK most people on this site seem to be American so they can buy from you.

I got a blonde cube a few years ago (for blonde women only) 🤣 every face is pink. From the Gadget Shop. Does the joke cross the Atlantic?
