Hello everyone! :D
I'm going on a school "I have a talent" show
So please give me some ideas, what is really interesting to noncubers? Some tricks, etc.

Im terrified to be honest, so pls don't suggest anything really demanding.
Im sub 13 solver btw, and BLD isn't my thing so I won't do that.
Stage fright is really going to destroy me ;(
Thanks!

at your 3x3 level, i assume your sub-1 on 4x4. I reckon do that.

Or i guess you could to do the cubing encoded video on 4x4. you just do the above scramble and do some inner layer turns. when you perform reverse inner layer turns and solve like 3x3.

Good luck.

I was actually planing on doing that Cubing encoded 4x4 trick!
The only hard part is my stage fright, I've never been in front of 1200+ people which really freaks me out haha

Thanks for taking a time to help!

also have that scramble in muscle memory!!!!! Don't go on stage with a scrambled cube that causes suspicion. My advice is do that scramble, and in the middle of it do things like 2 tperms and 6 RUR'U's to make it seem more legit. for extra legitamacy, i guess wear a blindfold and make sure it's muscle memory.

another thing is use inspecction. thats one of the most biggest alarm. you might as well be wearing a sign saying i did a fake scramble. use your inspection. especially if there are cubers in the audience

Yeah, you have a good point. I even got a 3x3 national record while shaking like creazy, but still that was in front of cuber friends, in front of someone that I know, and that i laugh most of the time.
Talking in front of that many people seems so scary, and I'm scared of mistakes. I don't want to make it boring, but at the same time im not really sure how will I do that.
Maybe I just don't understand how it is to be in a skin of a noncuber. Everyone says they get impressed by anything, but in my mind I find it boring.
Let's just hope i will get ready in the next 2 days. I also have a lot of exams, job to do and things like that. Let's just hope I'll do well

I was thinking of something like this.
Since we have already filmed a small video about us(Something similar to a beginning of "America has a talent" (if that's how it's called)) where we introduce ourselves so I won't have to talk a lot.

Then I would get on a stage and things like that.
Theeen i will talk about how everyone has probably seen a rubik's cube at least once, and tried solving it, but they found it impossible so they gave up, but in reality
And then i do a LC Cuber trick-it is a solve in one second, i planed it well, I'll scramble it like that while im talking, and do 2 t Perms so it looks like i scrambled it, and then i will just do it when it is supposed to be done and i would say that it is actually straightforward hahahhahahaha

Sorry if my English is broken there, im lazy to check if i wrote something wrong.

And that's it hahhaha, I'm really not ready for this.

I thought about giving someone in the audience (hoping that they aren't cubers) 2x2 cube which usually seems really easy to everyone, and trying to race them. I would be solving a 2 3x3 and a 4x4.
2-hands, 4x4, and OH.
But it might seem boring. Any ideas?

megaminx?

also when you go on stage say something like.

"This is a rubiks cube." take out a bad 3x3. scramble and give to audience. ask for them to try to solve it. then continue. i guess just hope they aren't a cuber. or even better give it to a judge. they love it when they are involved.

continue with speech and scrambling. perform solve. also, not sure if this is practical have a table with the cuebes, with judges that have scrambled them

I'm not actually scared of them, I'm scared of stage hahaha. I'm actually really shy person when I don't know someone, and there is a lot of them in the audience.

Plus on audition I knew like 2 people out of them 20-30.

I just have to prepare so well that it will seem impossibe to fail.

But first i have to hunt for the tricks, but i dont have a time cuz of 93838 exams, and that's a lot to take. Plus i have a little job where im saving money, and I really have to work. Time is short

and so's a good act. if they are long they tend to be boring. so just think about that.

if only my school would do that

If you have stage fright, try not too look at the audience too much. Just stare down at the cubes you are doing, and when you do have to, focus on one point somewhere in the audience, and it’ll look like you‘re looking at them. If you are meant to be talking to one person, talk to that one person. Just project your voice a little more (microphones help). Stay in your own little world generally, don’t think about the audience, just solve.
