And to keep track of progress. Why are timed solves important?
if its not timed you will not be able to know if you are on track, falling behind, or ahead of ur usual times. for example i finish f2l at around 9 seconds so if im done with f2l and its 10 seconds, i know i need to speed up my last layer and if its 7 i know its a good timeWhy are timed solves important?
I find that if I go timed, I feel an immense pressure to speed up, which messes up my look-ahead and sometimes makes me rush through algs and mess up.also if its not timed you are more likely to feel relaxed which makes you go slower
exactly how you should be feelingI find that if I go timed, I feel an immense pressure to speed up, which messes up my look-ahead and sometimes makes me rush through algs and mess up.
An even better tip would be not to time my solves at all. If it's just to measure progress, I don't need to use it every time i solve the cube.tip
dont look at the time if you feel pressured
No, just no. You shouldn't feel pressured to speed up, but rather pressured to concentrate.exactly how you should be feeling
A most outstanding tip would be to change the timer update settings so that it is set to "none". That way, you still time yourself without the pressure of knowing what the time is.An even better tip would be not to time my solves at all. I was looking for this feature, actually. Thanks.A most outstanding tip would be to change the timer update settings so that it is set to "none". That way, you still time yourself without the pressure of knowing what the time is.
