I grinded skewb yesterday and got a 2.42 single. GAN skewb is Goated, I don’t know why I didn’t get one sooner. I actually kind of like skewb now.

What did I said to you?😉 What method do you use and what do you average, if you want I could help you to get faster?

I use Sarah’s beginner, but I’ve learned some Sarah’s intermediate algs before and I’m trying to relearn/remember them.
Yea, learn them, and try to make you layers under 7 moves, but If You can't then at least under 9 moves, and try to make your sledges and hedges under 0.5 seconds

Guys I'm considering dropping 4-7 for now and focusing on 3x3 and the other side events. I'm kind of burnt out on big cubes rn and want to focus side events. I'm having fun in skewb (which is a surprise even for me) and want to be sub-50 on mega after trying and failing for over a year now. I just need to focus.
So here are my goals for the end of the year:

3x3: sub-9 global
clock: sub-9 global, get a Qiyi clock
mega: sub-45 global, sub-40 single
pyra: sub-7 global, maybe look beyond a gan pyra, better inspection
skewb: sub-6 global, learn sarah's intermediate, better layer planning
squan: sub-10 single, sub-20 global, achieve better turning and efficiency.

Note: I won't stop solving big cubes completely as I will do the weekly comp and some sessions here and there, but I want to be faster in side events and 3x3. Also, my classes start soon and I won't have as much time to practice big cubes as I can for side events.

This is Garf, signing off.

I finally have a sub-10 ao100 on 3x3, and I’m happy with that. However, I’m going to keep going, as I know I still have weaknesses in my solves that I want to address and there are still so many things I want to learn. I also want to destroy my 3x3 times in competiton by getting a sub-6 single and a sub-8 average.
Btw here is the fastest ao100 I got yesterday.

Guys I'm finally getting faster at 3x3, after not having a lot of improvement for so long. I brought my ao5 down to 7.83 last night. I also managed to get my ao1000 to 10.09, so I'm super close to being sub-10 globally.
I think what's been really helpful is actually drilling cross+1, and limiting my inspection to dual color neutrality with white/yellow. That way, I'm not panicking to find a good cross on all colors and instead only focus on two for right now. I've also done a bunch of slow solving to work on habits and whatnot.
