Garf's Progression Thread - Sub-40 single on mega... twice??? - grinding to sub-50 mega.

best parts of today: doing a full gilford challenge with matty doing 6x6 and the rest of my 7x7 solve lol
also trying to speedsolve giga and getting like low 10 minute solves in only 10 solves

I did so bad in 3x3 today. Also DNFed a 2x2 average and also got a bunch of DNFs in my other events. I need to work on timer starts and 3x3, at least nerves.

PRs in almost all of my events.


Also I got to try Matty’s GAN 4x4 prototype. It’s undeniably better than the V1. It’s super fast and a little uncontrollable. Probably due to his setup and the fact the cube is still a prototype, but it has high potential. I would buy it when it comes out.

I got my new cubes. I’ll give a review on them after I try them out some more.
Also the order came with my aoshi core, so I was FINALLY able to get it put back together after it being in pieces for 7 months.

My rankings have updated and now I’m top 700 for both mega and 7x7 single and average. Now I want to improve my big cube rankings in general.
To do this tho I want to be sub-10 on 3x3. My bad habits include:
- not focusing for the entire solve
Not planning first pair
Not lookahead after first pair
Rotations
Bad PLL recognition

So to combat all of these I will tackle each bad habit one at a time, starting with my focus and lookahead.

So this happened while speedsolving every puzzle that I own last night.

Not much cubing progression lately. I’ve been playing the new 1.21 update tho and the first ominous vault I opened I got a heavy core. Unfortunately I died in that HC world and ever since I haven’t been able to get a heavy core in other worlds.

That exact same thing happened to me! First ominous vault I opened and I got it, but I unfortunately died later and most of my stuff despawned (I got 3 pieces of bread but not my mace )

I've been playing alot too. I went through one trial vault, then left. I haven't gotten a heavy core yet.

Died in the chambers. Shield broke and I decided to fight breeze/stray spawners w/out one.
