It is probably last because it is the last event to be added and it is sort of its own category.but why is fto at the last?
keep it in between clock(ig) and megaminx
Or maybe cuz it isnt yet in comps, its just there until 2027, cuz pyraminx and megaminx are in the same branch as fto (face turning ...), it'll prob go in the place of clock (now it will really look like we got fto for the price of clockIt is probably last because it is the last event to be added and it is sort of its own category.
The WCA board said that FTO will be available for comps starting on the January 2ndI see a few events with FTO planned for 2 Jan already, but none on 1 Jan..?

I think a big reason they did it is because the 2nd is a Saturday which is when most comps are on, and people are given the most free time. It's also not directly on a big holiday, New Years Day.Oh, they wanted to be special and not make changes on 1 Jan like normal people do! Or maybe it's because there was already a multi-day competition planned that ends on Jan 1?
Usually most regional organisations - refrain from hosting competitions around important occasions, mainly Christmas and new years - for example, this year, the USA is not hosting any comps from 20/12/2026 to 2/1/2027. There is no point in making a change applicable from a date such as January 1st if most associations will not hold any competitions on that date.Oh, they wanted to be special and not make changes on 1 Jan like normal people do! U sure?Someone from New Zealand or Australia will get the first Fto world record
