This is an extraordinarily confusing interpretation of the mission statement to me. What about a high barrier of entry is unequal? The barrier of entry is the same height for everyone.

It has nothing to do with the equal part because my point was about the "more people" and "more competitions" part. (The "more fun" is subjective, but I would guess most cubers would lean towards fto over big blind) I'm also of the opinion that we don't need to remove events to add events, which I made clear earlier, but IF we had to and fulfill the mission statement it would be the ones that are least competed in and are the hardest for newcomers.

5bld has the fewest competitors of all 17 events, followed by 4bld. MBLD has more competitors than both combined. Even 3x3feet, which hasn't been an event in 5 years, still has more competitors than 5bld or 4bld do now.
7x7 has the fewest competitors of all 11 puzzles, followed by 6x6. 3bld has more competitors than both.

You have to draw the line somewhere at too many events, and the ones with the fewest competitors are the best candidates to get rid of, especially when they're just "bigger and more of the same but take longer", which offers absolutely nothing new.

I think Mirror cube would be the most likely for a new event, then maybe FTO.

I don't see why all events shouldn't / can't stay and add new ones if people want to do them - and people just do the ones that suit them. Maybe leave the 34 x 34 off for now.

Just don't ask for events to be removed because you dislike them, personally I really dislike pyraminx, but I'm fine with it being in the WCA because there are alot of people who have put alot of effort into the event. This goes the same for having never done an event.

If we remove an event the best option is probably 6x6 or 7x7, 4bld and 5bld alot of people have dedicated alot of their time into + it's a really cool event and it's not for everyone which makes it unique, but in any case I don't think an event should be removed because the current list is very good! I would love to see FTO make a way into the wca
