So, to go along with @Garf's Running Cubers, and @NebraskanSpeedsolver's Band Cubers. I present to us... Fishing Cubers! Fishing is my favorite hobby next to cubing (look at my location) and I'd love to know if there are any of you who have ever caught a fish and have any pb's. Where do you fish? what is your favorite fish to catch? care to share a picture?

Here's a bit about my angling career:
started fishing two years ago and got hooked on it (no pun intended). didn't catch my fish for about 4 months into it. first fish was a small Largemouth bass. My favorite fishing spots are freshwater lakes and streams, and although my first catch was a bass, I love catching trout. Other locations I love are deep sea, piers, and jetties. I Love fishing with my dad and brother, and I cube a ton on fishing trips haha. I think i have more than twenty rods altogether, probably over 300 different baits and lures... yeah.... I'm crazy.

Fishing is so cooll i wish I was beyter at it tho ): (i didnt catch my first fish for years)

I love fishing! I don't go very often, but when I do, it's always the most fun I'll have all year. I've only fished trout, but I'm hoping to do more fishing and catch other fish such as crappy and Bass in the coming years.
yeah, never caught a crappy but have caught about 50 bluegill in my time lol, it's strange, wherever there's bluegill there are crappy, but i still haven't got one. once my bro caugh a crappy/sunfish hybrid tho.

i am a fishing cuber!!!! the first time i stuck a fish was when i did a ICE FISHING CLASS two years ago. i am trying to get into fly fishing, an i like looking at all the cool bates and lures! fair winds and following seas!!!
yeah, I have two fly rods, but have never caught anything on the fly rod, and my casts are life threatening lol.

when I saw the title I thought it mean phishing speedcubers. I personally don’t like fish and I live in a desert unless fish fall from the sky I ain’t getting any
I mean hey, it's pronounced the same right? why don't you like fish? are you not much of a seafood guy? personally, I'm a surf and turf- eat everything person. I love eating what I catch. It's moments like those where you feel alive.

question for you guys: what is the most fish you have ever caught in one day? And what is the coolest fish you have ever landed?
For me, It was at a beach called "Seal Beach" where family and I caught around 40 mackerel in about 3 hours, and the coolest fish I have ever caught is a Leopard shark (I was wearing a Jperm tshirt at the time, so the picture looks pretty cool).

yah i hear you, my aunts allergic to shrimp so we have to be careful when she's eating with us. That's good you eat a lot of veggies they fill you up, but they have no fat, sugar, or salt. I understand your position, on beef. I'm not religiously barred from eating beef, but beef in america is very expensive.

I eat a lot of lentils and rice too.

I live relatively close to Lake Erie which is like the "optimal" fishing spot and every 1-2 years we do a walleye trip and usually catch 24 of them (24 is the maximum amount of walleye you can catch with four people in one day) and we have also caught bass and trout there aswell but they aren't as common. I think the record for most amount of fish I've caught on one of those trips is like 26-28? I don't really remember. We also sometimes go to a local trout pond and catch a bucket full or more there. It is also good to mention that the couple spots where we like to camp, there are catch and release ponds that we like to go to, (have caught bluegill, bass, trout and probably some others but I can't remember.) I would much rather eat them lol. The next fishing trip that my family is planning is a shrimping trip in North Carolina while on vacation so that's exciting.

that sounds awesome man, yeah, don't really get walleye here in California, but been thinking about an arizona trip where there are some along with pike. Yeah, I've also got a cool trout spot in my area where I limit out often. Good luck on your shrimping expedition, personally, I go crabbing with my hoop nets, but have never gotten any shrimp. happy fishing.
