First Place, First Gone 2025 | Forum Competition

A future Forum competition I will be hosting a little after my "Speedsolving New Year 2025" competition finishes (I'm making this thread now so I don't forget about it). I won't yet say what the idea of the competition is, you might already know or have a clue about what it is, just based on the title.

• Feel free to suggest the events! I haven't decided on any yet.

Of course, more information coming at a later date.

First Place, First Gone 2025!
Yep, another Forum competition. This is the second one I've ever organised after Speedsolving New Year 2025 wrapped up a few days ago. This competition has a competitor limit of 30. In order to register, reply with the Events you wish to partake in.

Events

• 3x3
• 2x2
• 3x3 One Handed
• Clock
• Skewb
• 3x3 Blindfolded

There will be three rounds of each Event.
A rather random Events list, but there is a twist.
First Place, First Gone??
So, what exactly do I mean by this? This competition will run like a WCA competition, using their regulations and rules.
However, getting first place in any round of an Event will get you eliminated! If you think you will dominate in an Event, you may have to purposefully throw if you want to win!

2x2 R1: March 6th
3x3 OH R1: March 11th
Clock R1: March 16th
Skewb R1: March 21st
3BLD R1: March 26th

3x3 R2: April 1st
2x2 R2: April 6th
3x3 OH R1: April 11th
Clock R1: April 16th
Skewb R1: April 21st
3BLD R2: April 26th

3BLD Finals: June 1st
Skewb Finals: June 6th
Clock Finals: June 11th
3x3 OH Finals: June 16th
2x2 Finals: June 21st
3x3 Finals: June 26th

Results should hopefully follow quickly after 3x3 Finals.

I will be competing in all but 3BLD.

First place in a round is eliminated from the Event. All other competitors are bumped up one, but will not suffer the first place consequence for this round. I'm currently unsure of the percentages to enter the next round, that will be figured out once registration closes the day before 3x3 R1.

I'm assuming results would be dm'ed to you (or some other way that prevents the other competitors from seeing each other's results).

Maybe I'm just dumb but, if you know you will win an event, you will throw. The person who thinks they will get 2nd will know 1st place will throw, so they have to throw also - and so on and so forth until it ends up that nobody tried

But I'll join 2x2 and 3x3
