I'll try to practice again. I listed what I want to get better as events and techniques I want to learn/improve and the times I want to achieve
It seems realistic, let's see if I will stick to it

I will try to pratice 30min to 1h every day and I'll post my results here, starting from today when I get out work (I practiced skewb the last two days)

To motivate myself I'll keep track of my practice days streak, and try not to break it. I'll post milestones here

Any tips are welcome!

didn't have any motivation to practice today, did some skewb solves and decided I wanted to drill 3x3 LL so I got this average with only LL

Ok, so... here we are again.

As you can see on my previous posts, I tried setting a practice schedule for a few days but failed miserably

BUT lately I'm feeling super motivated to solve the cube. I got interested in big cubes and I'm watching a lot of speedcubing content on youtube. I solved the 5x5 and the 6x6 for the first time on the last 2 days on a cube sim and want to finish solving the 7x7 next on the sim.

So I set a few "missions" and I'll try to achieve them with time. I won't set a arbitrary schedule as before as "solve for 30min every day". I'll just cube when I feel like it and try to achieve the most goals I can. I'm going to move from the city I currently live in a few weeks and that is the only reason I didn't buy any cubes yet. But as soon I'm settled I plan on buying a bunch of new cubes, specially 5x5 to 9x9.

As soon as I move and when I get the money I plan to buy a 3d printer (creality ender 3) to print some puzzle I grab on the internet and learn how to make my own designs. I want to make other mods too, not necessarily related to 3d printing.

I also want to buy some 3x3 diy kits and assemble them, because I never done that before but now it seems easy to me and I want to try. but just after I move.

I used a portion of my time now to make a detailed spreadsheet with my goals and a space to track my progress in each event I want to practice.

Here are the missions I set and some algsets I want to learn (at least a portion of each). It's a lot but I'm not in a hurry lol. It's everything I can think atm but I'll put more as time passes

I learned 4x4 oll parity!! (for the 19287391827 time)

I'll try to spam it a few times every day to get muscle memory for good

I'll grind 4x4 for the following days. untimed at the beginning just to get used.
no need to look up the alg anymore

first mission achieved. 4x4 oll parity learnt

I'll focus on breaking 4x4 single (sub 1:48)

I need a better cube :v

I didn't time since I got those times some months ago but I improved a little on centers and edge pairing
I'll start timing again in a few days. I want to get confortable with the method (reduction)
then I'll learn yau and get a better cube
I recommend the YJ MGC 4x4. It's not too expensive but is still great, though I strongly recommend loosening it.
With edge pairing, here's a tip: you don't have to make sure the edges aren't facing each other. For example:

Red Red
Green White

To match up red and red, you can use the last-two-edges alg. That way, you don't have to look for an edge to replace the one you just made if you can't find one immediately. Also, USE LOOKAHEAD FOR CENTERS. Finally, while you're making an edge pair, simultaneously look for other edges you can match up.
