Think you know your OLLs, PLLs, ZBLLs, and LLs algs better than anyone else on this forum? Time to prove it.

I’ve taken themes of fantasy football and merged them with speedcubing’s Last-Layer mastery. You’ll draft your own team of algorithms and face off weekly by executing them, and only them (for LL), in timed solves as fast as possible.
You draft 12 LL algorithms of your choice. Each week, I'll post the scrambles for each head-to-head match (Ao5). Rankings will be W-L, for ranking ties I will calculate opp. win % and opp. opp. win % (like Pokemon TCG)

Draft Process

  1. Snake Draft: Randomised draft order.
  2. Rounds: 12 total
Playoffs
Qualification:
Top 6 teams by win-loss record (tiebreaker: opp. win % and opp. opp. win %).
  • Format:
    • Week 13: Seed 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5 (Seeds 1-2 get byes)
    • Week 14: Winners face Seeds 1-2
    • Week 15: Championship match

Notes on rules:
draft picks
For the draft, you pick Jb not (R U R') F' (R U R' U') R' F (R2 U' R')
algs you can use
you can use any of the 12 you drafted, but in addition you can use BlockBuilding, F2L, ZBLS, Zeta Sloting, Layer by Layer for the first 2. ASK IF THERE ARE OTHER ALG SETS YOU WANT TO USE
methods allowed
any method that uses ZBLL, or PLL. Roux is not allowed.
OLLs: YOU CAN USE AN OLL EVEN IF YOU HAVE NOT DRAFTED IT, BUT IT CAN NOT FULLY ORIENT THE LAST LAYER, ex. Doing a sune to set up a ZBLL or OLL you drafted is allowed. If you did not draft sune, using a sune on a sune case is not allowed.

I'm in but don't really understand what happens in the actual match. When you draft your 8 algs, do you compare the times on those algs to the times of your opponent on their algs? Or do you somehow do the same algs?
during draft you pick 12 LL algs-ex. Jb, ZBLL-UU1, Aa, Gc, V, ZBLL-TR4, F, Pi-OLL, T-OLL, H-OLL (the one that yellow looks like an H, is that called H?), Ra, and Ua-for the matches you can only use these algorithms to to Permute Last Layer (or solve if you choose a ZBLL). I will give you scrambles and the fastest Ao5 wins that 1v1. So it's a mix of strategy and luck. =]

I guess I will join now that I know what it is.

I've rethought some numbers and things.

Updated info:

  • changed drafted alg number to 12 to give more room for OLLs and so people can take a full ZBLL set like UU1-12
  • see "algs you can use" spoiler is first post
  • see "methods allowed" spoiler is first post
  • OLLs: YOU CAN USE AN OLL EVEN IF YOU HAVE NOT DRAFTED IT, BUT IT CAN NOT FULLY ORIENT THE LAST LAYER, ex. Doing a sune to set up a ZBLL or OLL you drafted is allowed. If you did not draft sune, using a sune on a sune case is not allowed.
Updates have been fixed/added to the first post.

Do I need to know full OLL, PLL, or ZBLL to compete?

Do I need to know full OLL, PLL, or ZBLL to compete?
Absolutely not. I would sugest that you learn a few ZBLL bc with 12 people drafting 12 algs that's a total of 144 algs picked. It's not very likely that someone will have more than 2-3 PLLs.

When we have 12 people (or 10 if people don't join), I'll randomise the participants and the draft will snake.

How it works:
Person 1 picks 1 alg. Person 2 picks 1 alg. Person 3 picks 1 alg. Person 4 picks 1 alg. Person 5 picks 1 alg. Person 6 picks 1 alg. Person 7 picks 1 alg. Person 8 picks 1 alg. Person 9 picks 1 alg. Person 10 picks 1 alg. Person 11 picks 1 alg. Person 12 picks 1 alg. Person 12 picks 1 alg. Person 11 picks 1 alg. Person 10 picks 1 alg. Person 9 picks 1 alg. Person 8 picks 1 alg. Person 7 picks 1 alg. Person 6 picks 1 alg. Person 5 picks 1 alg. Person 4 picks 1 alg. Person 3 picks 1 alg. Person 2 picks 1 alg. Person 1 picks 1 alg.
Then repeated till each has 12 total. We can also do it 2 at a time, so it goes faster.
