Easy / Lucky / Funny / Hard / Weird scrambles thread

this weeks 3rd 2 Bld scramble apparently

R' U' R U2
I HAVE A FORUM RECORD YAYYY
I got 5.8, dnf, 0.74 🤯
I got 2.23(site PR by more than 4 and a half seconds lol), I regripped AUF but nod-donned and saw the solution pretty much immediately. Tbh, I'm finding it hard to see how so many people are getting these times. This includes the time it takes to remove the cube cover, pick up the cube, orient to the mostly solved layer on bottom, find/recognise the solution, don the blindfold, do the solution and stop the timer. I assume these solvers' normal times would be around 0.35 secs to pick up, do the solution and put down the cube. This would leave around 0.4 seconds to remove the cover, orient the cube, recognise the solution and don the blindfold. In a time faster than the 2x2 WR single, which looks basically instant.

With @precompsubwr , this is believable I guess, since exec probably would be high 0.1 or low 0.2, and he might have gotten a lucky orientation. But @eeeeeeeee and @Thomas.Caleb also got 0.79 and 0.84 which seems pretty strange since they average 3 seconds based on 2x2 results(the same as me). I think it's possible that they were only measuring exec(nothing against them if this was the case and they didn't know how to measure in BLD). It's possible that these results are genuine, but I think it's worth clarifying how this event works.

i could also be the fact i leaked the solution( :( sorry )
I deted the original comment so now people cnt see the solution(unless they see the replies
im sorry.

Yeah I don't really see how 0.7x is possible, honestly. I got 1.17 without even actually checking if the cube would end up solved, I just saw that the OLL would skip and decided to send it just in case (I based the AUF on one of the front pieces on the top). I am only barely able to get sub 1 with a half-decent solution check as memo, even knowing the solution in advance.

It should also be noted that @Thomas.Caleb first had a 1.21 entered and he changed it to 0.84 after I got 1.17. I pointed this out to him and he said he got 0.84 but entered 1.21 to look less suspicious.

Anyway, I don't care too much because it's only a 2BLD single but yeah the weekly comp's integrity is probably violated at least somewhere in this case.

Had the worst turning ever on this lol

U F R U R' U' R U R' U' F' U2 // LL

Like seriously that could have been sub 4 so easily

My first solve of the day so it could have been better, but I am still pleased with the solution, though I'm sure cross could have been a lot better while preserving the pair.

i was counting exec it just that from the scramble i knew that if oll skip and solved layer than its just auf

U B2 F2 L' D2 U2 B2 L' F2 D2 R' D2 L2 B' L' B F' L2 U B2

I feel like this scramble could have some crazy potential with a pair and two solved F2L edges, but I can't take advantage of it. @precompsubwr @gsingh could either of you find a clever solution for this?
Not my first solution but I found this

x2 y' // inspection
D U2 R B2 R U R' u' // xcross
U' L U2 L' // 2st pair
y' L U L' // 3th pair
U' R U2 R2 F R F' // 4nd pair
U2 r U R' U R U2 R' U2 // OLL

does anyone see it

this is a real 3x3 scramble generated by cstimer

i got this scramble a long time ago,it has a pseudo xcross on blue plus a free pair

im not fully color neutral so i dont completely know how lucky this scramble actually is but i think it's quite insane
