Easy / Lucky / Funny / Hard / Weird scrambles thread

A 3BLD scramble I encountered recently with 3 edges and 3 corners in their solved position but twisted, which is quite unlikely (~0.35% chance I think, but it would be nice for someone to verify).

R2 D2 L2 F D2 B D2 U2 B2 R' B2 U' L U B D' U' R' F2 U Rw' Uw2

It was the attempt after my first ever 3BLD success but I DNF'd this one because I misremembered two of the four corner twists.

Also funny for starting with R2D2.

Worst 2x2 scramble ever(I use CLL)???

U R U2 F U F2 U2 R2 U2

It was so bad that after like 30s inspection I couldn't find anything, did an untimed solve and it was like 15 seconds when I average 3.5- completely awful. Can anybody find a good layer on this scramble???
The blue layer isn't bad:

x y

U R2 F' U2 R // layer
F R U R' U' F' U // CLL

ok for bad scrambles like this, what I'd recommend is try to find a 2x1 block in 1-2 moves.
That way you can build off of it and get a decent first layer.

You can do this with white/orange by doing x2 U' R, and you get a not so great case.
This case is done by solving each piece one at a time. So you would do U2 R U' R' to solve the RG piece and then would do R' F2 R to solve the white/blue piece.

So in total you have U' R U2 R U' R' R' F2 R.
R' R' cancel so you get

U' R U2 R U' R2 F R

That is a good layer solution. Not great, but what you should realistically expect in a solve.

But there is something better, that is kind of hard to spot as a CLL solver.
I would not blame you for missing this, it is hard to see especially if you aren't used to looking at non-layer faces.

On green, if you do an x' prerotation to start, you have:
U F' U2 R into PBL

Now, if you one-looked this, you would see that you have to do a rotation, so to avoid the rotation, you can do:
y'
L U' L2 F
that way you can do PBL rotationless
so full solution would be
y'
L U' L2 F R2 U' B2 U2 R2 U' R2 U'

now of course I wouldn't expect anyone, including myself to find a solution like that. But what I showed earlier is a good standard for what your layers should be for really bad scrambles.

Got this gem from iOS app CubeTime.
Really easy white cross, do this with green face on front.
B D' F' L D2
Dunno how good the rest of the scramble is, as I’m not as insane at solves as you guys, but the cross was a pleasant surprise for me

6.02

I did the same cross but from a different angle, do B D' F' U L D2 to preserve a free pair (red-blue)

This solve was weird no idea how I got a low 9 (I average 13)
