I improved my japanese understanding with duolingo but it began to make me anxious and addicted so I had to stop my streak and I don't feel like doing it again

duolingo is cool until it starts to make you sick

Why did it make you anxious? (You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to, just curious)

it felt like an obligation and as the app is gamified sometimes I would do the lessons just for points or to avoid breaking my streak but I wouldn't learn anything new

Sí, yo sé hablar español. Me gusta mucho aprender español en la escuela y en Duolingo. Voy a ser en noveno grado el año próximo.

I have a 347 day streak which I’ve kept since the first day I got Duolingo. I mainly do Spanish rn, but I also did some Italian in the past. My username is Justin2403. My biggest achievement is probably getting 2nd in diamond league. I would’ve gotten first but had a flight, so I wasn’t able to do more grinding. I did as much as I could at the airport and was first before getting in the plane, but someone must’ve been doing some last minute lessons.

I recently got a 1 year streak, but gave it up because it became too much of a chore. I started because of the Chinese content, but I finished that pretty quickly. 如果你用比较简单的生词，我会跟你讲汉语。It's also kind of fun to learn what the cube names mean in Chinese, For example, Dayan means wild goose, and all their cubes I've looked up have bird or flight related names.
