This beats my old pb from yesterday by 16 seconds. I've been practicing this puzzle for about a week. Every solve took over 10 minutes usually. I've only done less than 20 solves in total. I only got my first sub 10 a few days ago.

Method: Double reduction

1. Reduce to 3x3x3 turns and 120 degrees corner turns
2. Reduce to 3x3x3
3. 3x3x3 + any parity

Building those edge triplets is so time consuming. It takes over half of my solving time easily.

If you like solving big cubes, I'd recommend trying this out. It's pretty fun despite the bad turning. It's all mostly intuitive. I don't really use any algs apart from 3x3x3 algs and parity.

Sure... It's been 3&1/2 years since you posted this, I won't be surprised if you don't reply.
I've had my dreidel Cube for a little while and never really scrambled it.until recently.wow, you're right this puzzle is fun to solve but it does take a little while.
I'm not finished with the solve, I've been putting in a little time for the last two days, yay quarantine free time.
I'm stuck on keeping those three colors from getting mixed in. Uuggh.
Not to mention that some of the small stickers have fallen off so I have to look around to figure out which one it is.
Well, thanks for posting this video, it's very nice to see other people working on the same cube I'm struggling with. :)
TY for reading...
