The way this competition works is simple: :)

Competitors will be given 5 scrambles in a certain event, and you will have 7-10 days to come up with a solution for those scrambles.
Then once you have found those solutions you want to solve it as fast as possible using that solution (aka downsolving), and when you are done DM me your solutions and solve times, do not post them on this thread
Side note: you are not allowed to use any tools to help find solutions (e.g. cube explorer, speedcubedb scramble analyzer, etc)

When the round is over I will take 2-4 days to check the submissions and grade them based on how fast they were done and how short the solution is, and when I'm done I will release the solutions to the public. Only during this time you can talk about your submissions to others here

And there might be bonus points depending on how I feel at that time, lmk if you have any questions

Registration is open now, even though I am trying the challenge myself I will not be officially competing. Put your event ideas here and I will choose the most voted options (only accepting: 2x2, 4x4, OH, Clock, Pyraminx, Skewb, Square-1)
3x3 is auto on the list
Events: 3x3,

Competitor list:
@CubeLite
@bldcuber314
@BVCuber13
@eeeeeeeee
@THE_V01DL0RD
@Cubinginatree
@EvanCuber1
@Caleb Valenzuela
@AJT17
@edward_9x
@finger go brr

good luck ;)

Also shouldn't the ranking be purely based on times
It's to make the competition more fun, mainly the scoring is based on the times tho (+3 extra points for shortest solution, +1 for second shortest, compared to around +20 for fastest time)

and are we allowed to look up algs?
Sure, but nothing too advanced (idk how much you need it as you can just find solutions until you get a pll skip or smth)

I’ll do 3x3 and OH
Should I film my fastest downsolve?

I will do 3x3 and OH and I can film my down solves depending on how long the rounds go on for and how it lines up with my schedule.
Every round will be 7-10 days (after the round is over there will be a 2-4 day break)

ill do 2x2 lmao. are we allowing alg sheets?
read this:

I feel like if you wanted to you could just go through a bunch of solutions until you get like a LL skip (for 2x2) or smth like that
