Defective QJ 5x5 Core?

I have come to the conclusion that my 5x5's core is defective. Every turn I perform the center cap ends up coming loose and when I try to screw the center cap back in, the cube pops again.

So, should I just super glue the center cap and say the end? Or buy another core? If so, where can I buy the core?

i think you mean center piece

cant you just replace it with a 3x3x3 core? can we have a pic of the core to advise you?

Center piece, excuse me XD;

Anyway, I wasn't sure if a 3x3x3 core would do the trick so I wanted a second opinion ^^;
