I organized the Houston winter 2013 competition and held 2-5, OH and BLD.
it all went well and we ended on time, but 5x5 fell behind pretty bad (by almost 30 minutes) due to the fact that down here in the south there are not that many fast people. If you look here http://www.worldcubeassociation.org/results/c.php?allResults=All+Results&competitionId=HoustonWinter2013 you will see the 4th fastest person at 5x5 wasn't even sub 2:40. I would like to hold a competition in the summer. My current events I would like to do would be 2-4, OH, Pyra and Mega. The problem is that I don't know how many people would do mega and even be fast enough (I would make the cutoff 2:30). I took out 3BLD because there were only 6 people at the last competition who did it and I don't know how many competitors will come back and I know at least one won't. What events do you think I should hold if I am to hold another competition? My time schedule would probably be from 9-6 for a competition of mine.
