I found it to be helpful. It's another tool in your bag of tricks when it comes to solving square-1. I still find myself using parity EP and parity CP during my solves. I usually use the one that I find to be more efficient.
The algorithms are not too hard to learn, but being able to recognize when to use CP parity is what I had to improve on when i first started with it.
