Coolest way you've lost/destroyed a cube?

I can't really think of any crazy ways I've lost a cube or had it destroyed. I guess the weirdest thing that's happened to me is to have the U layer of my cube disintegrate mid OLL/PLL and all the pieces fall off the cube due to a bad center piece that broke irreparably.

Much as my mechanics teacher would hate to hear me say this, I can't figure out what kind of stresses you would have to expose a center piece to for it to break off mid-solve. Was it just a "snap" and then everything fell apart, or did it break off with some force?

I had dropped the cube many solves before and the yellow side was getting progressively looser and looser. I thought this was neat as it allowed me to solve LL (cross on white) with really quick turns on yellow :) It turns out that my drop had damaged the center support by cracking it, and my continuing to use the cube eventually expanded the crack until the entire center piece came off :/

I played baseball with a Rubik's brand before. The yellow center unfortunately snapped off, but everything else was in perfect condition.

i haven't really broke or destroyed a cube, but i went to pick it up, and completely slapped it under my dresser. wouldn't think much other than to go grab it, except for it was my fangshi and had to find all the caps

I took a dollar store cube, grabbed some sticks and a bit of rope, started a fire with the sticks and rope (the bow drill thing, you know), and dropped the cube in. Then I took the mangled cube and put it in water, and dropped some pure sodium in.

I don't actually know why I did that. I was bored.

He's got some skill if he can break a Zhanchi that well. He would have to cut each cubie over 37000 thousand times.
There are faster ways than cutting :p
I gave my Skewb to someone a few days ago and when I got it back the yellow centre was in five pieces, including two screws he'd someone managed to take out... how can you accidentally take out screws with your hands!?
