You're not using that phrase right bro. "Cinema" refers to movies and that's just a picture. You keep saying that for everything and I cringe inside every time
I know, and I use it because its an internet phrase used by idiots that don't care, including me. Its not like I don't know what cinema means. You're not intellectually superior bro

edit: it's also funny because the pfp is from an anime, which is televised lmfao

1000th solve on Squan and I still am bad at cubeshape. I have gotten better

@precompsubwr and anyone else decent at Squan: I feel somewhat confident in Squan rn (I’ve been averaging around sub 15) but I also know that in high-pressure situations, my hands are shaky, which makes me turn slower and less confidently, especially during cubeshape and parity. How can I combat this without just “tightening my cube”, since I like the setup it is right now. Do I just “turn faster than my nerves”, or do I turn slower? I’m mostly going for good official times at this point, so what can I do to be more consistent and reliable in comp?

By when do you want the tips, I have a comp on saturday with squan so if what I'm doing works out I can help

My comp is on Sunday (fortunately) so yeah, that actually works. Any general tips for nerves while turning in general also work
Said this before, do comp sims a lot more and use comp noise if possible, also don't turn too fast

Like max park once said, "don't think, just solve" and have a positive mindset going into the comp because you know how it went last time...

deal with your nerves by checking out my super hepful nerves thread with lots of people who give good adbice!!!

nerves got to me so hard at East Berlin, especially at clock+2x2. You can look up my results and talk about whatever about how I am cheat my solves but this post I am only focusing on the good/mediocre stuff from this comp.

Good: Squan single! for an average where I choked the first solve (locked up for 5s, piece pop, plus 2), and a painfully bad middle 3 solves, I know I was going to get a bad average, and not even get PR (even though I have averaged sub 15 the past few days). However, I finally “decided” to do good for one no lockup, no parity, no problem solve and I got a 13.32 single! As this is a solve I would get at a home setting, I was really happy with myself for the first time that comp!

Megaminx: Now, I know I have averaged around 1:05 the past couple weeks, but these solves (mostly) had good paces heading into LL, but I got a couple of corner twists and bad CP cases(my cube is too loose probably) which dropped my times a couple seconds. I’m pretty neutral with a 1:14 single and 1:18 average honestly, but it was OK I guess for comp nerves/previous Mega fails.

This was a very well-run comp, and I am very glad I went, in spite of my times. I met a bunch of new people, and hung out with a couple friends. This may have been my last comp of the year since I won’t be able to attend River Hill Fall and idk if there is going to be a Slow and Steady Winter this year. Still really glad I didn’t do 3x3 tho, since it’s a mid event and I don’t even like it that much lol. I will be getting a new 3x3 if I can’t glue my tv3 back together (v5 Ballcore) by next comp, as well as the Dayan FTO and a 4x4 (Vin or Aosu v7, I haven’t decided yet).

For the next couple of months, I will focus on cubing YT and my “bad” official events (primarily sprint events)

bro just called 3x3 mid💀💀 nice times

THINGS I HAVE BEEN DOING LATELY:

1.
I have been focusing on Squan recently as a “main” event. I have learned Karnotation to learn all of the 3/4 Slicer PBL’s, as well as watching a couple of CubeMaster’s 2 look PBL videos. I have also begun figuring out how to trace CSP from hashtagcuber’s website. I can trace/do all of the Star cases, as well as some of the more common cases like Scallop/Kite, Square/Square, Kite/Kite, and scallop/scallop

2. I really like big cubes, so I have been practicing those as backup mains. I have gotten a PB ao5 at 5x5 (1:02.2) and a PB single at 6x6 (1:50.0, which is my second sub 2 single and first with NP). I have been using Yau on 6x6, and am averaging very similar (5s off my normal times) with it to Redux (the same is not the same for 5x5 or 7x7). I have also finished Dorito Modding my Aoshi, and it is actually godly now, especially the outer layers.

3. I am seriously considering learning and at least partially maining ZZ. I did an ao5 with ZZ and got 3 high 6/low 7 second solves (the other solves were 11’s because I messed up EO). I do believe that once I get familiar with EO that I can main it.

4. NEXT ALG SET:
I WILL LEARN ANY ALG SET/ COMBINATION OF ALG SETS UNDER 100 ALGS THAT ONE OF YOU PICKS. YOU CAN SUGGEST ANY ALG SET AND I WILL CONSIDER IT

NS🥹, is almost 100, just over by a little

Some APB algs!
11 EOPair algs, since anything more is proven to not be worth it. Then full LXS which has 116 algs, but 20 F2L algs that you'd already know, so only 96 other algs.

yay I got a PB3 single at 3x3! Again, it’s a full step solve (I cannot for the life of me get one of these solves with a PLL Skip) but it was incredibly ergonomic and almost entirely R-U gen.
