Hey everyone, I'd just like to share something I've been thinking about. Is there an actual reason why center/edge magnets are never used compared to corner/edge magnets (with the exception of the Valk Elite, but even then, the center/edge magnets were done in tandem with a more regular corner/edge system). Does anyone more knowledgeable than me with this topic know if there are genuine disadvantages that are incurred by using a center/edge magnet system without any corner/edge magnets, which resulted in their failure to appear in any capacity, or is it just because the first magnetic cubes used a corner/edge layout and, with the two systems being equal, no manufacturer saw the need to deviate from the norm?
