Central Visayas Championships 2025 Results
2x2
Round 1: 2.76 PR average! This average tied with first place but i had the better single so i got 1st place in the 1st round! But i did miss a one-look solve which was quite unfortunate. Placed me 49th in the Philippines.
Round 2: 3.17 average. I messed up an 8 mover that i saw which could have gave me a gold medal. I still got my first silver medal though.
3x3
Round 1: 7.37 PR average with a 6.96 BPA!!!!! Completely obliterating my 8.65 PR average. I never would have expected to get TWO 6s in one average anytime soon. This placed me in 3rd and 20th in the Philippines!
Round 2: 8.58 average. Scrambles were pretty mid and my cube popped on solve 3. I put my cube back together but didn’t see the flipped red-white corner lol. 5th place.
Finals: 8.27 average. This is probably one of my most consistent averages ever. I luckily got 3rd place by 0.02!
4x4
Finals: 45.70 average and 39.48 single. My cube did something weird on the first solve which would have been sub-50. The small internal piece kinda just twisted for some reason. Delegate said it was ok. The 39 had a PLL skip.
other experiences:
Learned how to scramble pyra for the first time (surprisingly easy), judged clock for the first time, i also thought Neo Cuares got a 3.91 but it was a miss-input so it was actually a 6.18

Philippine Championships 2025 Results
2x2:
Round 1: 2.45 PR average and 1.47 PR single! I actually think i one-looked the 1.47 so that’s good news. 5th place.
Round 2: 2.68 average and 1.79 single. Usually what i get at home. It luckily placed me in the finals! 7th place.
Finals: 2.31 average and 1.97 single!! I could have got this to a 2.1-2.0 average if i full sent all the solves but i just safetied it. 5th place.
3x3:
Round 1: 8.55 average. Pretty mid average but it was just the first round so i was thinking the next rounds would go well.
Round 2: 9.52 average. So bad that i don’t even want to talk about it.
Semi-Finals: 8.99 average. 4 places away from finals…
4x4:
Round 1: 47.20 average. it’s pretty alright ig
Round 2: 40.89 average and a 36.39 single i was pretty locked in for 4x4 after the 3x3 semi-finals lol.
Others:
Team Central Visayas 1 managed to get 2nd place! Unfortunately, Leo messed up on the finals. We could have been going home with GAN 13s if we won. I did get a 6.59 single though.
Prizes:
i won a GAN 330 from this GANCUBE challenge where i had to get two sub-10 singles lol. Also won a GAN 356 RS for getting the second-runner up in regions cup.
Final Comments:
I am really confused about 3x3. I average 7 and got a 9.02 Mo3R. My nerves were pretty much at the lowest. I just really don’t know why i performed so poorly this comp. Looks like i will just have to wait until next year… I am now going to focus on getting sub-7 on 3x3 so if you guys have any tips especially for lookahead please let me know! any help is appreciated.
