Hello there. I'm from Brazil, my name is Renan, 17 i'm years old, and i solve rubik's cube :]

So... I learned how to solve rubik's cube on my own. It tookme 3 full days. I used some algorithms that i made only with a paper and my mind, but then when it came to PLL and OLL i used a computer and i software that i developped to make some tests.

Since the method was complex, slow and big i went to web and found the layers method. Now i use it with some changes. Usually takes 90+ moves

I'm thinking about learning a better method, like fridrich, petrus or roux. Well, which method you use?

Have been about two months since i started cubing, my best time was 41:12, i have an 10/12 about 55 sec.

I also like math, computing and coffe.

Well, that is all :]

And sorry for my bad english, i learned english by myself.
The english from my school was almost utterly useless.

Bye. And thanks for your piece o attencion.

Welcome! I'm a CFOP (Fridrich) cuber, but occasionally I dabble with Roux. (I need to improve my block building skills.) I've read up on Petrus and ZZ and tried them a little but they don't really interest me. If you like it more structured, I say go with Fridrich. It sounds like it would only be one step up from what you're doing now. If you like more dynamic, try Roux.
