Bluetooth Cubes Thread

Hey everyone. I don’t know if there is already a thread for bluetooth cubes specifically but if there is it would be great if a mod could merge this with it. Thanks.
My question is should I get the Gan 356 I carry or the Monster go Ai? What are the benefits of each over the other? Thanks

Definitely GAN i carry. It’s just slightly more expensive and the tension and elasticity are adjustable. Many found that the monster go ai is too tight and you can’t even tension it.

My GAN i carry can corner cut over 45 after set up (whereas the monster go ai can’t even do that as you can’t adjust the tension and elasticity)

Gan Monster AI is good for beginners who come from a bad rubiks cube.

Can i Carry is not much more expensive but all in all the better cube.

The best GAN Smartcube is the GAN 356 i3. This one a little faster than the iCarry and has also some gyroscopes to count cube rotations and I think some more setup possibilities.

If you have the money, i would recommend the i3, if not, the iCarry is also OK, the Monster I would only recommend for beginners.

I love cubing with smartcubes and the possibilities and statistics they give me.
Except for direct competition preparation I do almost all my timed solves with my Smartcubes.

Awesome Thanks! I’ll get the Gan iCarry then. Maybe if I really like smartcubes I’ll get the i3 later. Also the iCarry is on sale at The Cubicle right now so thats a plus too

I would buy it if it came out.

I have one problem with smatcubes. They are good at the beginning but I don't get them lubed as others.
After I lube them the first time, they don't feel as good as new anymore.
I've tried different lubes and lubing methods but my Smartcubes get worse with time.

Got my Gan I Carry yesterday and I’ve already done about 350 solves on it! Pb is 10.39 which is only .03 slower than my pb on my Gan 13.

I have the Gan i carry. I personally don’t like it very much. It’s too fast for me, which leads into many lockups, too slippery because of the frosted plastic, although it does get better over time, and way too loose for my liking, although it’s on the tightest setting. It is a great cube, but just not for me.

I have a problem. Every time I try to use the Cube Station app for anything except the timer, it says “Network request timeout, please try again” The day that I got my Gan I Carry, I was able to do the algs but everything else said that, now even the algs say that. What should I do? Is it like that for everyone right now?

I’ve had that happen last week. Came back after a few days, and it made me re-login and get a verification code. But seems to be working now, at least for me.

They sometimes have those connection problems. I don't know what exactly the problem is.

Usually it gets better if you wait a couple of hours, sometimes after a re-login.

But you can buy it for a crazy price in some ebay and aliexpress pages and on speedcubeshop.co.uk but not in all other shops. That seems a little strange to me.

Why would GAN release a 12UI after over a year the original 12 was released?

There are a couple of reviews since a year but you can't really buy it from a regular speedcubeshop or from GAN itself.
It's not even on their website.
Maybe those are prerelease specimens for reviewers or I don't know.

It seems that in the last weeks there are a lot of new reviews. So maybe they are planning an official release soon.
I would expect to buy this at speedcubeshop, thecubicle, dailypuzzles, ziicubes or every other popular cubing shop, but none of them sells it

I coded this site because i wanted a place to practice and compete with others, so please, join in on the fun!
My average is ca 45-50 seconds right now but im aiming to get sub 20. it has tournamets, 1v1, play against bots, you can see statistics etc. (if you have any suggestions on improvement you are welcome to give me feedback and ill see what i can do ;-) )
