If you're havin trouble with;
1: Exec mistakes try doin sighted solves to inprove your accuracy. Particularly practising whatever algs you make mistakes on regularly.
2: Memo mistakes try goin slower/working on letter pairs. Some people find imagining their letter pair words as images helps with recall.
3: Tracing mistakes I find dat they go away after doin lots of solves. though you can hand scramble a cube trace it at your normal speed then go through and check if you made any mistakes.



TLDR find where you're making mistakes and focus on fixing them

I'm much slower than you, but in general, the key to fixing errors in any complex task is to know what went wrong. The reason is of course that the remedy will be completely different if you make all your mistakes in execution compared to memoing or tracing. While it's tedious, I try to check all my DNFs to see what went wrong. Half the solution lies in figuring out what causes your low success rate.

So I did a 4 cube MBLD today(I don't have a 5th cube). I got 2/4. Recalling memo was super easy, which is good- I could probably do more cubes. On the 3rd cube I forgot to finish a cycle during memo and on the 4th cube I messed up the algorithm for I. I'll probably get some new cubes and do bigger attempts.

So turns out I sometimes do an extra M2 during execution for 3BLD, hopefully this is the main reason I have been DNFing.

So a couple of new cubes arrived today.

Since I only have 4 MBLD cubes, I got an extra one(the Meilong) to do 5 cube attempts. It is decent for the price and I think it'll work well for MBLD.

I also got the Weilong magnetic Pyraminx. It's really good, I'm still getting used to it, but the speed is perfect(the Weilong MagLev is waaay too fast). So far I've been averaging a little slower(like 6.7 as opposed to 6.5) but that'll improve. I also got a bunch of sub 4.5 averages which is pretty awesome(including 4.13 PB2 ao5)

Oh yeah the 5 cube MBLD was 2/5. One cube was flipped edge, one was corner twist and one was 5 edges, 2 corners off. I'll keep trying for a 5/5!

Yeah, I've been trying to get sub-1 for a while, there have been a lot of fails. I'm sure I'll get there soon though!

You have got to be kidding me...

For some context my PB 2x2 ao100 has been 3.51 for a while and I'm trying to get sub 3.5. Then I lost my cube and after a week, got a new one(this was a few days ago) but was averaging barely sub 4. I grinded again today(like 350 solves) and eventually got to a 3.51 ao100. Then I just kept doing solves, I went up a little, back down to 3.51 over and over again. Then I got a 6.8 and ended up messing up my ao100(somehow it went from 3.53 to 3.59 with one solve) so yeah. I still don't have a sub 3.5 ao100. I'm glad to be faster at 2x2 again though, and I also got PB ao200(3.55), ao500 and ao1000, and a PB3 2.52 ao5.

So just for fun I tried to find the luckiest scramble I could online and came across a 3.86 by Alwin Federsel. First try I got a 7.8, which is .7 faster than my PB. After a bunch of tries I managed to get a 5.23(same solution, different angle). The scramble and solution(of 5.23) are below.

I average 16 SECONDS and I just downsolved a generated scramble to 5.23. What...

Anybody else want to try this scramble(you can post times below, I'm curious about what others can get)
