I started to practice 5x5 this week, and I did my first 100 solves and my average is 2:40.00

I want to be sub1:50 by the end of the year, so I would like to know what is the average of the splits to be sub 1:50

First 6 centers ?
First 8 edges ?
Last 4 edges ?
3x3 stage ?

Now my average is: (2:40.00)
First 6 centers: 50 sec
First 8 edges: 1:10.00
Last 4 edges: 20 sec
3x3 stage: 20 sec

I avg 1:23 ish sometimes. I don't keep track of exact splits but my redux takes around 1:00-1:10. I think that my Centers are about 25 seconds any my edges are 40 seconds. 3x3 stage is 13-15. Your splits should be 35 centers, 55 edges, and 20 3x3 stage. Look at example solves from Feliks on cubeskills and look at the centers since that seems to be where you are struggling the most comparatively

How do you do L4E on 5x5? I've seen people do Freestyle edges with two on the front and 2 on the top (mainly Jay), and also people do slice flip slice and 3 cycles (if thats what they're called. I'm a bit confused rn, and L4e is one of my weak points, pls help. Also when I do freestyle edges for l4e I only solve 1 edge some fo the time and other times I solve all 2. Thanks in advance
For me personally, I use slice flip slice to do L4E on 5x5. You can solve any unsolved edge in two "slice flip slice"s. I average around 1:50 with this method. J Perm has a tutorial about 5x5 if you want to check that out.

Hi. I average just over 1:50 (1:52 official), and here are my splits for 5x5. I main the YJ Yuchuang (not a very good cube)

"F6C": 35-40
"F8E": ≈32
L4E: ≈12
3x3: ≈23

I feel like the biggest thing holding you back might be edges. Make sure you are using freeslice, and try and waste as little moves as possible. 3x3 stage is not a big deal on 5x5 unless you get to a very high level (sub 1:20?). Also, try and improve your TPS for centers, because for me, simply spamming TPS gets me about 5 seconds faster than trying to be as efficient as possible. Of course, it's still important to be efficient, but if TPS is holding you back then that's a big thing to improve on.

Hope that helped!
