I have a storebought cube, not 25th anniversary, and it is a little too loose for my liking. Is there any way to tighten it?

So is there any way to stop it popping and locking up so often? it cuts corners awesomely, but pops far too much

as Lofty said, not easy to take those caps off (it can be done if you
have a lot of patience and very sharp utility knife).

since there are no screws, your only option would be to try and insert
some tiny U-shape clips under the head of each pin (that would tighten
the spring load to some extent)

You can remove the centre caps on a store bought cube. A swiss army knife blade or something just as sharp and thin will get the job done.

You need to be very careful about what you're doing though!

I've never tried, but you could attempt to unscrew the "thingies" with some needle-nose pliers and replace them with other screws :)

Tim.
