Hoya method is very interesting. Can anyone do a example solve?

I'm pretty sure that's what the OP just did.

Anyway, based on Brest's reconstruction, it had some awful movecount (and yes, I'm aware that his solve had 'double parity').

@OP: When in doubt, assume your "new" method has already been tried before. Because I've personally done that way before, and I'm guessing quite a few others have as well.

Hoya method sounds interesting but it seems to me that you're not given "enough" freedom to solve the 3 cross edges even though you're free to mess around 2 centres. With the Yau method, the 3 cross edges doesn't seem to restrict cubers that much in finishing the centres. But then again I haven't tried the Hoya method that much.

EDIT: This isn't enough evidence I know, but look at steps 2-4 of Hoya redux and Yau redux of his solves:

Hoya: 18+36+12=66
Yau: 14+27+8=49
