4x4 Double Parity Alg (How does this work)

Now those of you that use the DP parity alg- correct me if I'm gettig something mixed up here:

wait until you get to pll to apply it

Now I've tried this but when I apply the algs it always messes up oll?

Why not just flip the edge before orienting the last layer? Yeah I'm just confused.

The alg you use must be one that messes up OLL (you have to use an inner-slice only alg)

Perhaps you need to do the pure version of a DP alg?

e.g. r2 B2 r' U2 r' U2 B2 r' B2 r B2 r' B2 r2 B2 (r means turn the inner right layer clockwise)
