2x2x2 FMC challenge - can you beat the scramble?

Hi,

seeing that no one got close to 10 at this 3x3x3 challenge yet, I was thinking like: "hmmm, let´s make the challenge easier". So here it is - a 2x2x2 version.

To beat the scramble, you must solve it in at most the number of scrambling moves (shown in the simulator at bottom right). In some cases you can beat the scramble pretty hard - try it!

If you screw up during solution, or if you couldn´t beat the scramble in your attempt, hit the Rewind button (the most left one) and try again.

New set of scrambles can be generated by refreshing the page.

Fun challenge! The 7 move scramble I got was a bit tough, but when I started thinking of it in a more FMC-like way I immediately saw a 3 move HTR lol

I also tried the 3x3 version and got to 8. On the 9 mover I did find an 8 move F2L which was funny, but I couldn't quite get the 9 move solution. Maybe I'll try again later with a different scramble, I kinda want to get to 10 now haha

Edit: got 9 now on 3x3!

Haha, tell me about it - on the 7 move scramble I just got this one:



beating it by 4 moves .

Nice finding.

It took me a while but with a bit of a luck I managed to beat all 10 scrambles too. Woohoo.
