I must say, I am very disappointed in you Jacob. You were kinda my idol when it came to 4x4, but now, I feel very let down. I really hope that this was the only thing that you faked. I think it would be best for all of us if you tell us exactly why and what you did (so admit your sins). That way, at least some of my trust can be regained. I really don't get why you had to fake this. You're 5th in the world, and I don't see the point in doing this to the cubing community. I really hope that you didn't also cheat in competition. :(

Me too, I've always looked up to him in terms of 4x4, but not anymore i guess...

Let me preface this by saying that I hate these arguments, and I don't really want to be involved. Also, the solve does look fake, and I have no way of actually proving to you that it isn't, so believe what you want.

Anyway, here's what happened:

I was probably about half way through a scramble, and then I popped about half the cube. After reassembling and checking corners, I hand scrambled and did a (timed) solve. Now, before I did the solve, I copy pasted the scramble into the search bar, thinking I need to do the scramble. Why did I think and do this? I have no idea, it doesn't make any sense, and yes, it does make the solve look very fake.

Also, the cube isn't even solved when I started scrambling, so the solve isn't entirely legitimate in the first place.

Again, you can believe whatever you want, as I'm pretty much done with this discussion. I've felt like crap from the moment I saw the first distrustful comment. The solve does look very fake, and you can think that it is if you want.

Also, I don't have the original footage, it gets deleted when I do the editing... sorry.

Do you still have the entire footage of this? It could be very helpful.

lol
Also, dont you think it would have been easier to click "get last scramble" instead of copying it to the URL bar? lolool

Why were you so attached to that particular scramble? Instead of copying and pasting the scramble, the normal thing to do would be do a solve of the hand scramble, ditch the scramble you popped, and just start the new scramble qqtimer gave you. Who really copies and pastes a random scramble that they have no way to know is fast instead of just doing a new one? You said it popped before you finished scrambling, so you didn't know it was going to be fast. Why save that scramble? That makes no sense.

If we are falsely accusing you, I'm honestly really sorry. But I can't think that. Nobody copies and pastes a random scramble into the URL bar when their cube pops.

EDIT: if you're lying, you're decent at it. Very nice tone in the writing. I'd love to see you say that to a camera, or in person, and see if it was still somewhat convincing.

I personally dont think he cheated, even though it looks fake. If he was trying to cheat, it would be way more sneaky...it looks extremely fake, but if I were to fake a solve, I would at least try to make it look real, not like what he did.

Also, I dont see a benefit in faking this besides YTUWR, which means nothing.
