Some history: On May 8, 2010, I released my first Sporcle quiz, in which you were asked to name the competitors in the top 100 for 3x3 single. However, as it was meant to reflect the "current" rankings, it required constant updating, plus the result statistics were rendered meaningless.

I've now brought back that concept in the form of multiple quizzes, most of which ask you to name the 2014 year-end top 100 for either the single or average rankings of a given event. These are not the current rankings, just those with all competitions 2014 and earlier taken into account. I also made one for the 2010 year-end 3x3 single rankings, as a close replica of the original quiz. I have provided the time and country of each person you have to name as some assistance, but you must enter the full names of each person as shown on the WCA site.

3x3: Single, Average, Single (2010 Year-End)
4x4: Single, Average
2x2: Average
3x3 OH: Average
3x3 BLD: Single
All BLD: Single (Top 20)
Side Events All-in-one (Mega, Pyra, Sq1, Clock, Skewb): Single (Top 20), Average (Top 50) (no countries)
Sum of Ranks - Guess the identity and a few facts about each person in the top 10 of either single or average (or both) sum of ranks. Order of responses matters for this one.

If you find any errors, please let me know. Also, I made this particular set of quizzes since in my opinion it offers a good amount of diversity in terms of unique persons/responses. If you would like to have a quiz for an event/ranking that doesn't already have one, feel free to request it and I may make it.

Thank you so much for this. I got 71 on the top 100 3x3x3 singles at the end of 2014. I missed out some "notable" cubers unfortunately :p
I missed out Rowe Hessler somehow

Hehe,
I missed you on my first pass through the list (I try to do it mostly in order first), but remembered within the last 5 minutes. :p
My scores (first and only try for each quiz):

3x3 Average: 89/100
3x3 Single (2010): 71/105
4x4 Single: 81/100
4x4 Average: 89/100
2x2 Average: 71/102
3x3 OH Average: 69/102
3x3 BLD Single: 71/100
Side Events Average: 133/250 (bleh)
Sum of Ranks: 55/55

I actually liked the Side Events Average quiz except for the fact that it was a "big" quiz". Can you please do the same for singles except with less answers? e.g. top 30 maybe

EDIT: Maybe 3/4/5/MBLD top 20 or top 30?

Thanks again Evan!

Slightly off topic: Was there a way for you to create the quiz in such a way so that you didn't spoil it for yourself much? I wanted to take the world record quiz without spoiling it for myself but I had to look at all the answers and try to remove all accents (particularly for Polish names).

For these rankings quizzes, I used the import data button/function (only available when the game data is empty) and just copy-pasted the rows of data in tab delimited format (Hint | Answer | Extra) after first using Excel to delete and shift around some columns. Of course, I still had to remove the accents and non-Latin characters, but this definitely spoils it much less than having to type each answer individually.
