This is a thread for discussing the new Minecraft SMP I'm creating for SpeedSolving members. There is a discord, but since not everyone has it, announcements and discussion can also take place here.
The Java Edition SMP is hosted on Hypixel, is completely vanilla, and has no major rules...

This thread is to gauge interest.
Would anyone want to join a Minecraft SMP of cubers/forumers? Likely just a chill vanilla smp, probably hosted on Hypixel as it’s by far the best free option. No major...
Hello!
Unless anyone has a legitimate reason to oppose this, I am taking up the mantle for hosting the annual forum awards for 2024. Over the years, these have proceeded with variable levels of complaints and conflict. I’m aware that we are currently in January, and thus quite far from the...
To the esteemed members of the Speedsolving Rubik’s Cube Forum,
Today marks a momentous call for unity within our cherished community. It has come to our collective realization that the multitude of diverse profile pictures has fragmented our identity and weakened our shared bond. Like the...
Curious of how many solves people do in a day/session, but mostly curious of how quickly you do it. How long does an Ao100 take for you? (Including any downtime you may have, as no one is gonna be able to infinitely solve and scramble without any breaks ever)
I've just decided to play around with the WCA database and generate some statistics based around it. Being a Mac user, I decided to utilize the WCA Statistics page's online database query.
I'm having an issue that appears to be a discrepancy in the database (although I'm sure is due to a gap in...
Pretty self-explanatory. Whole numbers/integers only, starting at 1 and increasing by 1 until 1000 is reached. So basically just:
for (int i = 1; i 1000; i++)
{
Console.WriteLine(i)
}
Except more painful and slower.

The new year is fast approaching, and we'll be leaving 2020 in the past(thank goodness). So, what plans, goals, resolutions, etc. do you have for this upcoming year? Do you want to be sub-10 on 3x3? Learn full...
For easy reference, the results are here.
Welcome to the 2020 Forum Awards! It's late November now, the time where people are preparing for Thanksgiving, those who are lazy still have skeletons in their yard, and just plain insane people have already started hanging colorful lights.
This great...
The new regulations went into effect yesterday. I want to know why they exist. It's all having to do with being sanitary in light of COVID. What are we going to do next year when no one cares about COVID and everyone's all scared about something completely unrelated to diseases? Will competitors...
Feliks Zemdegs. Saying the name causes all cubers in the room to look around in excitement. They are searching for the greatest cuber in history, the two-time world champion, the Usain Bolt of cubing. An unprecedented legacy of dominance surrounds Zemdegs, and he will forever be known as the...
In this thread, I'll be sharing advanced F2L tricks every couple days or so. Feel free to share a cool trick you've learned!
Advanced F2L Trick #1
If you have a B U' B' insert, instead of rotating to turn it into R U' R', try this:
f R' f'
A quick, rotationless insert! To fingertrick it...
I've been learning OCLL for Megaminx, and I couldn't find any standard naming system. So I've devised my own system. It's based on a two part concept, where a combination of two OCLL names or Adj/Diag makes the names of the case. The details are below:
3 Corners Oriented
For the four cases...
New forum game! In this thread, a debate will occur, with a special twist: each post can contain only three words(numbers count as a word). One team will take one side, and another team will join the other. To join, simply say you want to join and then what team you're on. For example, if the...
Love em or hate em, we all have an opinion on them. What do you think of Gan and their puzzles? Do they need to start making something unique and not just a bunch of extremely similar 3x3s, or is Mr. Gan today's Thomas Edison?
Welcome to connection! It's pretty simple: someone says a word, and you say something related to it. Then the next person says a word related to that word, and so on. Only adjectives and nouns are allowed, it gets weird otherwise. Here's an example:
Red
Orange
Apple
Seed
Flower
Daisy
Peach...
Discussion thread for the LEOR method.
How to do EO intuitively and efficiently? Currently I just use @Pyjam's alg sheet. Also, can you do both EOStripe steps at once or is it best to just do EO then place DF+DB?
