those are NOT replacement nuts, if you turn them into the cube, you will see, that it turns lighter or harder. This is because the spring strength is different, purple are the weakest, yellow the strongest. also, does it look like that, or do you have one clear instead of yellow?

in some competitons there are stalls, like at Munich Open, where I 'm going to soon, there will be a Cubikon stall. in general you can go to the WCA site and see if zour comp will have a stall.
