That's right, Google's got its own operating system.

I think that this could be a functionality worth adding. People new to the forums are always asking what these acronyms mean--OLL, PLL, COLL, MGLS, BLD, etc.--but why should they have to ask or go the wiki or Google it when they could hover over the word and see the definition?
It's done like...
This is similar to the thread BYU made awhile back: http://www.speedsolving.com/forum/showthread.php?p=174630
Inventing OLLs is somewhat easier since all you have to do is dissect the F2L in some way and put it back together. Chances are, you've invented an OLL.
I'll start: R2 D R' U R D'...
It's been bugging me ever since I joined that my Speedsolving.com link in my bookmarks bar has a white sheet of paper as an icon.
I think that speedsolving.com should get a favicon, as this overall makes the site look cooler. Thoughts?
Ok guys... I think of an object, and you guys try to guess it in 20 questions. Winner goes next.
So people can ask pretty much however many questions they want, but on the 20th question, everyone can take a guess, and I will pick the person who has the correct guess.
So it will go like this...
Remember the LCROSS mission? Well, I didn't. In fact, I forgot about it until today, when I saw a whole bunch of news stories that shouted "THERE'S WATER ON THE MOON!" :D Ahahaha!
Google even changed its logo:
I suspect they had it ready to post when NASA got the results back.
News stories...
I don't want my Rubik's 5x5 anymore, any offers? It is in perfect condition.
Does anyone have a Stackmat they'd be willing to trade for it?
I'll upload some pics later.
Hey folks, I'm getting my pumpkin to carve today! What designs have you/are you going to make? I'm surfing the web for some cool designs, I will post the results later.
I don't think any of you guys know what Hunch is, so I'll tell you. It's sort of like a personal desision-maker online, like a big online quiz-type-thing. They say that it "help[s] you make decisions and gets smarter the more you use it." Here's an example that helps you figure out which movie...
Assume the diameter(height) of a circle is four.
Make an infinite amount of lines parallel to the diameter, all the way until you get to a line tangent to the circle.
My calculations tell me this would be the sum of the infinite numbers in between the lengths 0 and 4 divided by the number of...
I am compiling a list of solving methods for a speedcubing poll on misterpoll.com. I made a survey awhile ago on surveymonkey.com, but they only let 100 people take it, so that was a bummer. Misterpoll.com, however, has an unlimited amount of results that it can handle. So please join with me as...

As none of you know, elsewhere on the Internet I am known as "lazyastronomer." So, I made a website, something I'e wanted to do for a long time.
And here it is: http://lazyastronomer.webs.com/
It went up just today. :)
I spent about 1-2 weeks fiddling around with code until I got the...
Okay, friends, I believe I've come up with a pretty good Petrus variation.
The beginning of the solve is pretty much all that is in common with Petrus. Solve the 2x2x2, and then the 2x2x1. Whereas Petrus would fix the bad edges, solve the second 2x2x1, finish the F2L, and then OLL/PLL, this...
Post all your algs here! This thread could prove to be very useful!
Petrus OLL:
Headlights: Reverse Sune, then reverse AntiSune
Chameleon: AntiSune, Sune
Sune, AntiSune: Duh
And then that one case that I can't remember the name of.. :confused:: R U2 R' U' R U R' U' R U R' U' R U' R'...
