I juggle, and I cube. I'm not sure I'll ever try to put them together.
If I did, I'd spend some time working on solving one handed, which I don't currently do. (I use Roux for speedsolving, OP for blind, and just recently learned a 5x5.) Neither of those, nor the beginner's method would help...
There's a quick parity algorithm you will need to learn for 2x2, buy yeah, other than that you already know what you need. I'd say go ahead and do the 2x2, since you should be able to get it so quickly. Then graduate to the 4x4

I'm sub 40, on a very good day. Someone saw me solving, and told me his cousin competes in speed competitions and does really, REALLY good at them. I said he must be a lot better than me. He said that I was WAY faster than his cousin.

Using OP for blind solving, edges then corners.
If I have parity after edges, do I wait and fix after corners? I thought it would potentially cancel out, by doing a U' turn at the end.

I average just over a minute with Roux, so take my 2 cents with caution and trepidation.
I figured I'd learn to be color neutral with Roux. I was color neutral with my variation of the beginner's method (which isn't saying much, I know.) Haven't learned CFOP.
I learned Roux with Yellow on top...
Been looking for this video for a while. These speedcubers won the competition, which probably everyone here knows already.

I'm running the risk of getting blasted by the community for asking this. I've been casually searching the forums, and haven't found a real answer. Is there a specific cube that Roux cubers prefer? I'm going to graduate to a better cube soon. (From the Rubik's brand, and a V3 Cube.)
Right...
I was pointed towards this playlist posted by DeeDub, who is a member here. It's an introduction to Roux, which as mafergut said, is mostly an intuitive method.
Haven't read the entire thread yet. Forgive me if this has been mentioned already. Any chance of a video series demonstrating the BA method?

Beginner's will still need to know these algorithms for LBL beginner's. I also learned a shortcut, called the keyhole method, to speed this step up.
Start by solving the bottom cross as usual, and filling in the corners, but leave one of those corners unsolved. With the cross on the bottom...
Looks like I'm reviving a mostly dead topic. My apologies in advance. I read through the entire thread, at least.
Someone pointed this video series out to me. Didn't realize it was made by someone on the forums. Thanks DeeDub.
I'm transitioning from a variation of the beginner's method to...
I have a sister my daughter's age. She told me that a guy on her school bus has a 3x3 and a 5x5, and that he knows a "trick" to solve them real fast. But it's just a trick."
Nice. I'm learning a beginner's Roux variation. The link's below. You guys probably know about it already, since someone on the forums pointed me towards it.
Planning on moving to a more pure Roux method once I'm comfortable with it. Right now I'm REALLY struggling with the last 6 edges...
Great links. Thanks. I've been going through the forums and FAQs, but hadn't come across any of these. I'm still leaning towards Roux, but having started the intuitive video, F2L isn't as intimidating as I'd thought. Because of time tonight, I haven't finished it, but it's excellent.
The Roux...
Hi. I'm really new to cubing- for about 3 weeks. it started at work, when we got a new break room. Among other things, they brought in a Rubik's Cube. Someone sat down and solved it in about 10 minutes, and I got jealous. So I bought one, and learned how to solve it that Saturday.
I promised...
