Thanks everyone!
This is simply fantastic.
Rudest post in a while. Also that's the point of his post. The difference in the times is now within the margin of error in the stackmat timers. (at least according to him. I don't know anything about it).
Here's a cool post, my first unofficial 4...
Stalk people until you find someone around your speed, then ask if you can grab a chair and warm up by racing. Ask questions about cubes and methods to the people around you. When you're in the competitor area waiting to solve, ask people how they're times are etc. Eventually, you'll get to know...
I've messed with it. I only ever use the five move cases. intentionally placing two edges in the top that you will for sure have to take back out is pretty inefficient.
Since June 25 2011 Feliks has dropped his pb 3x3 single by 0.34 seconds. In the same period of time, I have dropped my 3x3 pb single 22.96 seconds. I'm crushing this nub.

If you are using headphones to dictate algs then you suck so bad that I don't care if you cheat.
As it stands now, competitors can still pretty easily share solutions with each other in the competitor area without using communication devices (See Rami's 0.58). We're operating on a trust system...
I don't think it's that similar to any puzzle we have right now actually. No other puzzle would the same combination of how easy it is to solve a single piece and how important/difficult lookahead would be.
Not saying it should be an event, just that it's not all that similar.
You just set up the top so the the centers are solved and you can finish off the entire top with a sledgehammer (or hedgeslammer). It's not fancy, it's just fast.
