No problem ;) I'm planning on releasing it someday, but it is not quite ready yet as if now. I'd be much more interested in other people looking into it as well, with unspoiled eyes xD
I would build a holographic cube, probably a 3x3, but if it were possible you could really make any puzzle out of it.
The idea is that you have something projecting a holographic 3x3, which you can use exactly like a normal one.
Would be nice, because you have no friction whatsoever, nor...
For the CP part it would be really much better if you would fix CP when you finish the block, without having to place FDR and BDR first.
And I can assure you it's possible, I have worked out half a system so far, but I would loook into that, for that would improve the method a lot.
And for the...
I think the comparison between music and cubing is not completely correct here. Finding a truly new concept for a speedsolving method could, if something like that is ever found, mean that that concept goes in against the established ideas. Being creative in music is usually only hailed if you...
Yes, algorithmic execution is the fastest, but only if it comes from intuition. And I'm just doing a wild guess for the future, who knows what will be possible in 50 years..
If people continue to rediscover them then we probably have the best ideas already.
And I guess, or actually hope that...
Thank you for writing these things down in such an orderly fashion, finally a clear piece on this topic.
I agree with most of the things you brought forward. With regard to the intuitive/algorithmic part I think that the future of speedsolving lies in intuivity and that that ultimately will...
Interesting, I use about the same things.
However, I do M2 with my left ring finger followed by my left middle finger. Your way is probably more efficient, but I only have problems with mine when I'd have to do M2U'
Ring-middle is way faster for me than pinky-ring and now that I think of it I...
I always do this, but not particularly because I can see whether UF/UB is faster then UL/UR
I simply pick the pair I saw during cmll or the one I think is nice.
I just tried to connect my QJ time V3 to cstimer.
It seems to work fine, the time starts running when I release the timer.
However when I stop the time it doesn't register the time in the time list.
So I can't see my avg etc.
I do not own a stackmat so I don't know whether it's the timer.
I just got the app, did some quick solves.
I really like how you've kept the solving window as empty as possible, so that there's a low chance of hitting a button instead of stopping the timer.
Also the geastures seam to work well ;)
WCA inspection is a must I think.
It would also be nice if...
From what I can make up out of this thread, I think you should just not rush it.
Especially OH speed comes by a lot of practice, and thus by a lot of time.
