     Firmware updates always pose a small chance of bricking. There are steps to reduce the possibility of bricking such as having a well-powered cube & phone and turning off the phone's main radio and home networking so there can be no interruptions.

     To clarify, today I want to practice only 8 specific algs (which I pick in the morning). So I would like to tell the robot to just keep testing only those 8 algs today, and randomly scramble just those 8 algs today.

      Thank you @pppatty . This would be a good feature. e.g. One could choose 8 different algs to drill today. And the app would randomly display 1/8 each scramble. Better yet, use some SRS (spaced repetition system) with the robot.

      Thanks @pppatty . How does one communicate a specific algorithm to the robot? Can one upload a scramble and drill it say 10x? Can one upload say 5 scrambles and drill just those all day? Is there documentation or a video on this?

      I don't have the 356i but have battled general bluetooth glitchiness. Bluetooth is not the most stable IME. To start, you can try turning off your phone completely. You can try a different phone also. You can also try to reload the Gan app.

      My fingers are falling off

      I hate to blame the equipment. But good cubes that are well prepared can reduce fatigue IME. RS3M is so cheap that this is not really a question of spending more money.
