Just finished 100 OH solves today, ending off with a 14.74 ao100. I think I am comfortably averaging under 15 seconds now, so now the goal is sub 12.
The only practice I have actually done to get to here from sub 20 was just grinding solves. I definitely need to continue doing that to improve...
CMLL is specifically for Roux 3x3 speed solving, so that set is the most important set to learn.
CLL is for 2x2, and should only be learned if you want to improve at 2x2.There is some overlap between CLL and CMLL, so if you learn CMLL first, it will be easier to learn CLL later.
COLL is an...
Brief update:
I haven't been practicing as much recently, and I have mostly only been timing my solves during lunch at school. Today during lunch though, as I was timing my OH solves, I got my first sub 10 OH single:
So that was pretty cool. I did reconstruct the solve as well: 9.94 OH Single...
Instead of memoing a single letter, I double up on that letter. For example, if I ended on A in corners, then I would double up and make it AA, which could be memorized as a double A battery.
I would recommend focusing on block building. Experiment with different solutions. Additionally, I would recommend to stay away from the timer for most of your practice. The timer creates pressure on you to go faster, which will lower the quality of your block building.
To practice block...
Your argument just seems to say "Screw the Roux solvers, CFOP is better and needs to dominate as many events as possible." As a Roux solver whose main event is OH, you can see why I have a problem with this.
Also, this may just be my personal experience, but I have never seen my table turn my cube.
Alright, it's been a while, but I finally have some time off. Should be able to get at least 1000 more OH solves before the holiday break is over.
I did 100 OH and 100 regular solves (on stackmat obviously) today:
3x3 OH:
current ao100: 15.26 (getting close!)
3x3:
3x3 ao100: 10.69 (nice)...
Yes. There are different sets of 3 stickers for different AUFs that will allow you to recognize different sune/antisune cases.
Right now, I use four sticker recognition for the sune and antisune cases, but I have yet to learn three sticker recognition for different angles to gain all-angle CMLL...
