7.30 3x3 single on my first day back to practicing in several months. I'm barely sub-11 when warmed up so this is pretty solid for me. Totally should've been sub-7 and a PB but I locked up at the beginning of my J perm. Was able to find better solution afterwards but I'm still somewhat content...

I came up with an 11 move Jb perm. It's probably marginally slower than the normal one and it's one more move than the optimal one with R U L gen but it goes like this (r' F R F') (r U2 R' U) (R U2 R'). The way it works is you start with a sledgehammer except the first R' is a wide move. Then...

This cube is notoriously fast and many find it to be uncontrollable. However, the corner cutting is fantastic. I found a setup on this cube that is absolutely incredible, and I even considered switching to it as my 3x3 main. I ended up sticking with my trusty GTS3 but I am using this TengYun for...

I should be there! Hoping to get a sub-12.5 3x3 average, sub-4 2x2 average, sub-50 4x4 average, 1:35ish Megaminx average, and just to make the time limit for 7x7 lol because I don't practice big cubes. I don't care about Pyra and never practice so I'll be find with like a 10 or 11 average.

In the fourth 3x3 solve of this week's (week 38) online competition, I got a LL skip. It ended up being a 7.88 second solve which is awesome considering I average about 12. This is the scramble: R2 U' B2 L2 U R2 U F2 D' R2 U2 L' B U' R' U2 F U L2 R'. If somebody wants to help me reconstruct the...

LM is least catchy. MGC Has equally good corner cutting but it's easier to overshoot because it's so fast. I've tried the QiHeng but never a magnetic one

I just learned2BLD and I'musing Old Pochmann. I'm averaging sub-1 with a 50-60%ish success rate. I have a sub-30 single and another 30 flat. 45s are not uncommon. My memo time is really inconsistent but my solve time is consistently sub-20. Any tips? Other than "just practice" which is honestly...

That's about what my F2C are. I agree that my F3E need the most work. Do you think my 3-2-3 is ok? Thanks for the response btw
Edit: Not what my F2C are by time. But I have my whole first center planned and I track at least 2 pieces of second center and preserve bars when I have them

Here's the deal: I've recently started practicing 4x4 but I would like to get faster. I'm sub-13 on 3x3 but my 4x4 average is in the low-50s on a good day and I feel like I should be a lot faster at 4x4 than I am. I use Yau of course. Below are the time splits for each step:
F2C: sub-5
First 3...

Not a PB or anything but just a really efficient full step solve(8.75). Could've been low 7 if it didn't have those two rotations during F2L.
Scramble: U' B' R2 F' D' L' F' L F2 L2 U' R2 F2 B2 D F2 U' L2 B2 U'
y // Inspection
R' U F2 U2 F2 // Yellow X-cross (Solves GR)

Just as an update for anybody who cares, I'm learning CLL. I've only had time to learn a few algs (like 15) but this week I'm going start doing one or two per day. Thanks for all the attention on this thread!!

Hey, sorry I took so long to get back. Things have been busy.
Ideally I would like to be sub-3 and I don't see that happening with Ortega. I have my average down to 4 flat with about 45-50% of my solves being sub-4. Thanks for the input! That really helps! I'm learning CLL

Actually instead of doing R U R' for the last pair and then doing a sune, there was a really easy Winter Variation case where you do R U2 R' which makes the pair go past the insertion point and then you can do U and then R U2 R' to insert the pair. If you don't know how Winter Variation works (I...

I honestly prefer the turning and magnetic strength on the GAN (I own one). The only problem with it is grip. It has almost a matte finish on the plastic and it lacks ridges which I believe are a massive downfall of the puzzle. However, I still use it as my main on the Galaxy V2M (I have both...
